Football Weekly is the Guardian’s superb Football podcast. It is released every Monday, in an edition that reviews the weekend’s fixtures, plus a bonus edition every Thursday (Football Weekly Extra) which previews them.

The anchor is James Richardson, of Football Italia and recently deceased Setanta fame, and he is joined by various combinations of Guardian football correspondents, most often Barry Glendenning, Sean Ingle, Sid Lowe, and other peripatetic guests.

If you are not into podcasts, get into them, and get this. It’s available through iTunes, or from the Guardian site.

For those of you not familiar with the Guardian’s excellent football podcast, I urge you to give it a try – you can listen online here, or subscribe via iTunes here (as soon as today’s is up – usually around 17.00). For those of who who are, take this as a reminder.

It’s hosted by James Richardson (of late 90s Football Italia fame – the bald bloke) who is excellent, and has regular guests including Barry Glendenning, Sean Ingle, Kevin McCarra, and various members of the Guardian football staff home and abroad.

They have regular reports from Spain, Italy and Germany, and take a more sideways look at the footballing world. If I did a football podcast (which I won’t), I would want it to be like this.
