A word on John Terry

Man City are continuing their relentless pursuit of John Terry, with crazy figures like £300k being mooted in the press, in addition to a possible £30m transfer fee.

Is he worth it? Purely as a player, arguably not. He is 28, increasingly injury prone, and there are whisperings of increasing vulnerability. But by signing Terry, Man City get so much more than just a footballer.

The Final Straight

And little is left to be decided. Manchester United have clinched the title, West Brom are down, Boro are almost down… a slightly anticlimactic final weekend will see Hull, Newcastle and depending on tonight’s result Sunderland fighting it out to stay in the Premier League, Everton and Villa competing for fifth, and Spurs and Fulham battling to see who won’t put out a full side in the Europa League next season…
