Champions League Draw

The Champions League draw took place this morning and threw up some juicy ties: Villarreal v Arsenal, Man Utd v Porto, Chelsea v Liverpool (again) and Barcelona v Bayern Munich. The winners of the first two games will play each other, as will the winners of the second two. No need to read this article now… (seriously)

Champions League Quarter Final Line-Up

All four of the English sides have progressed to the Champions League quarter finals; Liverpool serenely, Man Utd and Chelsea edgily, and Arsenal by the skin of their teeth. They are joined by Bayern Munich, Porto, Villarreal and Barcelona.

Barcelona are the team everyone will want to avoid – with Villarreal or Porto the preferred draw for the Premiership sides. Despite the Last 16 second legs taking place on the 10th/11th of March, the draw itself isn’t until Friday March 20th.

A fantastic round of matches in prospect as Liverpool drew Real Madrid, Utd drew Inter, Chelsea drew Juventus, and Arsenal (in probably the easiest of the games) face Roma.
