The Transfer Window

Pre-season friendlies and meaningless tournaments have begun, and teams are shaping up for the new season. Man City have bought half a side, including four strikers, and don’t look to have stopped yet. The other big/rich sides have been less active – Zhirkov, Glen Johnson, and of course Michael Owen the most notable. With the falling pound it seems English clubs are struggling to attract foreign talent as before, and teams are just trading players. We’ll see if that changes in the final weeks of the window… Read on for all the moves, rumours, and tabloid lies.
