Confederations Conspiracy… by Andrew Walker

With the Brazil-Egypt clash locked at 3-3 going into the 90th minute, an Egyptian defender cleared a goal-bound header off the line with his arm. As the defender in question writhed around holding his head – in an attempt to disguise his misdemeanour – English referee Howard Webb signalled for a corner.

Ronaldo to Real… Finally

This morning Man United announced they have accepted an £80m bid for the Portuguese winker.

Good business? Or the catalyst to a United decline? He’ll be difficult to replace, that’s for sure.

The Confederations Cup

This takes place from June 14th to the 28th, and contains Brazil, Italy and Spain, amongst others. It will certainly be worth a watch (particularly considering the strength of the side Brazil have named!) and BBC3 are showing many games live. It will also be a good test of South Africa’s ability to host a major tournament.

Who do you want in the Final?!

Chelsea recovered from conceding one of the earliest goals in FA Cup Final history to come back and beat Everton 2-1. Yet still people moaned the final was dull and boring, that the teams contesting it were uninspiring, that the FA Cup has lost its lustre… But who do you want?! It just seems to be moans and complaints, every year…
