It’s another double gameweek – with Man Utd, Man City, Fulham and Portsmouth all playing twice. Assuming you already have Vidic, who should be a mainstay of any Fantasy Team, here are three others to keep an eye on…
1. Michael Carrick
Carrick has hit a rich vein of form, gaining an assist and three bonus points in Utd’s victory over Everton. If you don’t already have a full compliment of Utd players (three), he is a good mid-budget option – and at least guaranteed a bonus clean sheet point! Beware though, Utd have no game in a couple of weeks, so three Utd players will leave you needing to make changes.
2. Craig Bellamy
We may have tipped him a couple of weeks ago but it’s highly possible (nay probable) you ignored us – so we’ll tip him again here. Man City have two highly winnable games – home to horribly out of form Boro and away to horribly out of form Portsmouth – and Bellamy is always good for a goal and a bonus or two (he somehow even got one in their miserable defeat to Stoke). He’s also pretty cheap.
3. John Paintsil
Portsmouth have two difficult games so probably best staying away from them, unless you fancy Peter Crouch (and who does) – and Pompey miss a game in a couple of weeks time. Fulham, however, have a double gameweek this week and then another three weeks later. So even though their fixtures this week are tough. two appearances give you four points, with the same to come in a couple of weeks. At the bottom end of the pricing, that’s good value for John Paintsil.
