Fantasy Picks – 27th/28th January

Here are our top three for the midweek games on the 27th and 28th January…

1. Carlton Cole

Yes, it’s a huge bandwagon – but this man is the form striker in the Premiership with six from six, and with a home game to Hull next up, there is no better opportunity to extend that run. He’s also a decent price at £5.9m. If you don’t have him in already, get him in now.

2. Frank Lampard

Not exactly a controversial pick, but after a lean spell Lampard is now bang in form, with five in his last five – plus bonuses galore. Chelsea are home to a hopelessly out of form Middlesbrough, and though their wobbling defence is by no means guaranteed their forward players are likely to profit.

3. Aaron Lennon

Stoke’s away form is nothing short of hopeless – they visit Spurs this week. There are plenty of options here – Corluka, Modric, Pavyluchenko, Defoe all worth consideration – but for value and form (now approaching that which got him into the England side a couple of years ago) you can do much worse than Aaron Lennon. At just £6.6m, he could well get you an assist or two, plus bonus points.
