The semi-final line up was completed last night as Spurs beat Watford 2-1 – the win more comfortable than the scoreline suggests – and a Carlos Tevez four goal salvo gave United the win in a 5-3 goalfest against Blackburn. Again, that game was closer than a two goal margin – United could easily have won five or six one, and it will have been hugely concerning for Paul Ince.
In Europe, Man City laboured to a dull 0-0 draw with PSG – but it was enough to keep them top of the group (they have already qualified).
There are also UEFA Cup games tonight – Portsmouth are away to Wolfsburg needing to win to have a chance to qualify, and Aston Villa, on the verge of progressing after two wins from two, are home to MSK Zilina – this game is live on Channel Five (19.45).
