Portsmouth were cruelly denied a famous victory over AC Milan last night. After taking a 2-0 lead they were pegged back by a fantastic Ronaldinho free kick, but Pippo Inzaghi broke Portsmouth hearts in the last minute, sliding home a cross to bring it to 2-2 and ensure Milan’s qualification from the group.
You have to feel sorry for Pompey, if not for this buffoon – the thought of him crying into his Tennant’s Super was the one plus point on the result.
